Do you see, what I see?

Dear Saints of the Living God – Grace and Mercy to you and your family…

This morning, let us look into one of the quoted verses in the bible, Jeremiah 33:3,  which says, “Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

I have heard Pastors quote this verse as God’s cell phone number… when we call, He will answer… That’s totally awesome!  With all the technology at its height, we still have trouble getting hold of people, but My God says, every time you make a call, I will answer you…  It is an amazing verse and an encouragement to all the Prayer Warriors!!

The next part of the verse always, bothered me, why – since it says, “He will tell you great and mighty things”… which is great,  but it didn’t connect and so I was looking at other translations and the King James version says –

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

And the immediate translation to this will go like this… “Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not.”

That’s right, He will shew (show) us the great and mighty things… one version says – “things reserved”.   God likes to show His blueprint, He is not in the business of hiding it from children.   Are we ready to digest is the question…

Listening to one of the old sermon’s of Jentzen franklin, and he talked about a story and I thought is appropriate… In one of the Native American tribe, an elder in their community wrote a passage for their young men, to become mighty warrior…

As part of his exercise, he told them to go to the closest mountain, and go to the top of the mountain.. and it was a difficult climb, and some made it to the top, and some were not able to.   At the end, the chief tribesman wanted to find out if they were telling the truth about reaching the top.

Some, who didnt go to the top of the mountain, faked their answers, and kind of made their own stories of their experience… just like many, who do in this christian walk… they settle for less.  Just like Abraham’s father – who settled half way – and not go all the way to Canaan.

But there was this, one person, who reached the top came back and told the the chief tribesman, “I have seen something that I haven’t seen before, the ocean”.

Often times, our Christian climb is difficult, with lot of hurdles, trials and temptations, but as we cross them all, we will get to the mountain top to see things that we haven’t seen before.

My encouragement for you is, knowing the climb in this life could be steep and difficult, the Lord wants to know if you and I are the serious contenders… He is looking for His children to have a heart like Benaiah (who jumped into the pit to kill the lion on a snowy day)…  so that He can shows us what He sees for you and me…   The things that are reserved… the things that are rightfully ours…

May the good Lord fill your heart and minds with the visions and dreams…  Be a Blessing to someone!
