Have you met your Jesus today?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,   the true genuineness is a fruit, which gets exposed when we allow the Lord to work inside of us.   Soaking in the Lord like a sponge is such a joy early in the morning, just like the sponge in the bucket, the longer we stay, the more we soak.   The Lord is in the serious business of restoring us to the fullest, when we allow Him to build us from inside out.

When I think of King David, the one thing that he longed and enjoyed was to be in His presence every morning, He would have waited the whole night to be with the Lord in the morning.    Look at Psalm 148, it starts with a praise…  his desire that God may be praised in the best manner, what is in his heart, flows out of his mouth…

“Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord from the heavens;
Praise Him in the heights!
Praise Him, all His angels;
Praise Him, all His hosts! ….

Have you ever run into a situation, where you ask God – where are you?  Why am I going through this tough times alone?    Why are you staying quiet?

Where can we find this Jesus, today?   It wasn’t like 2000 years when He walked in the earth and the people interacted with Him physically, where He preached, healed and spoke prophecies.   When I go to certain churches, I don’t even find cross on the walls, I am not sure, how you feel about it, but it saddens me.  That’s why I thought, let’s explore ways to search for this Jesus today.

 I had a wonderful time with a man of God, who has spent time singing in Joel Osteen’s church… and sang with Israel etc., very anointed man of God… but when he had stroke couple of years ago,  one day, as he was lying down, he started having his own pity party – asking God, why me Lord… I have released an album, and I need to get on the road to sing and get the CDs sold etc., but instead lying on this hospital bed.   And the Lord spoke to him – and said, “You need to find out why you are still here?”.  You see, sometimes, the whole idea of feeling down – takes our eyes off of Jesus… we need to search for Him as Gold… we need to hunger and thirst for Him…

He shows up, when we wait

It is hard, when going gets tough, but It even more harder to find Jesus, when we are restless.   If you are struggling with situation/event today, the best place to get started, will be to roll the pages of the bible – the Lord will not only quiet us, but He will reveal Himself through His word.  Even when we feel like not praying, we should still go to the secret closet, and be honest with Him, I have no strength left. If I am ever going to get out of this situation, then you are the one going to have to make it happen.

                Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God”

 It is impossible to be still/quiet ourselves, but remember,  God allows certain things to happen in our life for a reason, we may not know at that moment in time, but as the events unfold, we can see the trails of His hand all over the place.   When we quiet ourselves, we are waiting for the Lord to intervene, we are humbling ourselves and transferring the Lordship to Him, and that we are saying, I am ready to meet you now, Lord.

It is not the question of whether He will show up, it is the question of us getting to that point.

As we see in Isaiah 64:4,

“From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for Him.”

Jesus will show up, when we wait for Him, in fact, He not only will show up in our situation, but He will act on our behalf.   Can you imagine a situation that is too hard for Him to resolve?

  • Think about Daniel, when he was thrown into the Lion’s den, He was not alone;
  • When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego was thrown in to the flaming fire, they were not alone;

Jesus was right in the middle of all the tough situations, if He was available then, He will be available now as well.  He is the same yesterday, today and forever.   He is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end.

 Have you met your Jesus today?

Oftentimes, the one thing that we forget is, there is a fruit in the valley.   When we are going through the rough times, our hearts becomes more sensitive and ready to listen to what the Lord has to say.  Today my prayer for you and me is that, the Lord will give us the energy to fight the battle, and we will meet the Jesus today, ministering to us through the various resources that He is going to be sending our way…

Wait on Him, He will show up…
