How much do you care about the dry bones?

Dear Saints of the Living God – Grace and Mercy to you and your family.

It is a blessing to start a fresh new week… and after a restful weekend – spending time with the Lord and fellowship.

Today, let us turn to Ezekiel 37, and the Lord is talking about “Dry Bones”.    You know how, when we read the same chapter (that you read in the past) but now, the Lord is revealing something new – and fresh?  That’s because the Lord starts to unpack what we can digest at a given time, and as we get closer and closer to Him, we get to smell the sweet aroma of what the Lord is teaching…

Ezekiel 37:  Verses 1 and 2…

The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry.

The Lord, takes the prophet in the midst of the valley… where it is filled with dry bones.   You see, when we go through a mountain top experience,  when things are moving well, and life is wonderful –  then sure, a good chance – you are fresh and your attitude is at its peak.    But when we go through valley… or being in a valley experience for a while, that’s when your bones go through dryness.

God didn’t take the prophet to someone who has a mountain top experience, but the one who goes through the dryness… and bringing His resource to breathe life into them.

This last weekend, we audition our kids to come and perform at our dinner and show event, and we always ask questions to understand where they are in their life… and so one of the question is, what will you do, if God gives you power to be invisible… and we had various answers, like I will go to vacation or learn piano from a master and so on…

But here is a 10 year old, who said – she will sneak in and see her mother… and to tell her, how she is missing her (this girls’) childhood.

Oh man, i was lost… the brokenness of this girl tore me apart… can you imagine, how much those pillows that she lies down knows, about this girl.

If a carnal man, like me – is broken, how much more will this break the heart of our Savior?   My question to you is, every day – we come across so many, who are going through the valley, and looking for someone to share.   Do you care listening to them?    The better question would be – do you care for the lost?

This morning, I pray that the Lord will clothe you and me with the same spirit that descended on Prophet Ezekiel, and that the Lord will take us to the valley and give us an ability to be a conduit, to gently breathe the spirit of the Living God as a fresh air…

Some times, you – yourself may be going through the dryness in your life, but as you reach out and touch someone else dryness, the Lord will start to breathe the fresh air in your life and mine, and may these verse comfort you as well.   Just like, when Job prayed for his friends, Job’s iniquities were removed.

May the presence of the good Lord go with you, as you journey through this beautiful week…
