Let’s take Selfie, it is #HOLYMOMENT

Dear Saints of Living God, Grace and Mercy to you and your family!

In our bible study, we are meditating on the book of Revelation and as we come to chapter 4 and 5, it is talking about the Throne room… as John gets the glimpse, of heaven looks like… he was in the throne room watching the different things – the 4 beasts, the full circle of the rainbow, the water flows like a crystal and so on… what amazed me is, how throughout the day and night, there are 24 elders, having harp in one hand and golden bowl on the other hand, worshiping and lifting His name…

Revelation 4:10, 11 says…

The twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
    and have their being.”

I was so convicted of my lone time with the Lord… and how I don’t give the complete attention to Him… He sees me as His beloved… His lover… and what I do, set a boundary on my prayer time with Him.   He jumps and leaps through the mountains to see us – and yet I am like giving a high-fi, then pull the camera to take a selfie with Him, and then tweet, hashtag – HolyMoment… and then i move on with my day.

You know what I am saying – we have the same access to the Throne room just like these elders, every time;  we can go before the King of kings and the Lord of lords and He loves to spend time with us…  The other day, my good friend John said – how we are so good in taking our prayer bowl to the Lord and not our harp to praise Him…   Exactly, my point this morning – we are trying to get efficient with our time or rush through like God is some kind of a machine that can record our prayers and deliver us from evil… which He will and He is more than capable off, but how much are we giving our personal, undivided attention to this Holy Father…

In Jeremiah 2:13, the Lord says,

“My people have committed two sins:

They have forsaken me,
the spring of living water,
and have dug their own cisterns,
broken cisterns that cannot hold water.”

Look at the Lord’s hearts cry… They have Forsaken me… I have created them to spend time with me, instead they are busy trying to find ways to make and store things using their broken system and it cannot even hold the living waters…

If anything, I want encourage you this morning – to fall in love one more time this morning with this matchless, marvelous and wonderful lover of our soul …

Even if you are on the run, find the quiet time with the Lord in the midst of your day… or while driving #HolyDriving… I don’t know where you find this time… let it be not a selfie moment or the hashtag moment – but instead God Moment..

Try and answer these questions…

  1. How much time did you spend this morning, in prayer?
  2. Will we take this time with the Lord – light, if we are desperate?
  3. How ready are we, if the Lord shows up today?

In the fast phased life, it is easy to take the selfie, with the Lord… but we have to be like those elders, ready to fall down with only one thing in mind – Worship the King of kings and Lord of lords with all our heart, all our mind and all our soul…

May the Good Lord bless you abundantly!
