Prayer is not a popcorn, to microwave…

Dear Saints of the Living God – Grace and Mercy to you and your family!

If you are reading 2 Chronicles, chapter 7, where King Solomon comes before the Lord to pray and the Lord responds… I often ask God, why are we not seeing these kind of manifestations, like the fire come down, or the sick gets healed as we pray…

First, let me unpack, some of the burning of my heart, and we will ask the Lord for the healing…

War-room-popcorn-prayerWe are starting to become microwave generation – not much of fanciness in praying all night, or longing for God’s presence… nowadays, even the evangelical church services has been engineered to be reduced to 90 minute thing…

it is almost like, I have been adoring me the whole week long at the marketplace, and at the end of the week, i come together as a church with the similar mind set as me to adore me corporately…

On the other extreme, we have people, who looks like professionals dancing in the church, during the worship time…  that particular culture started becoming popular in early 1900’s where some of these men and women of God started the movements like Assemblies of God church and so on…

if we go deeper into their lives, we will see that these Godly men and women spent hours and hours of their time longing for the presence of the Lord – and as they start to soaked themselves, the dancing was just an outward expression of what was going inside of them.

But nowadays, we are going on Saturday morning to practice the dancing, or practice the speaking in tongues or throw the towel on people – and expecting the presence of God to come down on Sunday morning…

c’mon now, Greater is He that is in you… than the towel or the external dancing.

I want to be part of a church that’s pure, a bride that is sought out in the Kingdom.

We need to go back to the basics… we cannot substitute or microwave our prayer time.  Yes, Prophecies are real,  and dancing like King David is necessary in the churches, but we cannot fabricate it – with just an outward manifestations, and expecting God’s presence to descend…

What am I saying, if we need an experience like the Solomon or Elijah’s encounter with the Lord, then we should get serious about our intent…  The color of Proverbs226 is changing – these days, the leaders are groaning and crying on their knees, and as a result, we see children giving their lives to Christ, and getting baptized, week after week.

In Houston, when we started the journey, we went to the prison and did an All Night prayer with those men, and I am telling you with all the assurance, that’s why, the prison in Houston, Terrell Unit will never been the same.

________

When we come before the Lord, our attitude should be – You are everything, and I long to spend in your presence… and the things that are in front of me is not mine to solve, but your, Lord!  i require a super-natural intervention and yes, we want to take the bull by the horns – but not with our own strength.

We are in a war against an enemy who is gaining grounds… We are piecing things together, and only God knows the full picture.  Let us surrender ourselves before the Holy God.

Prayer is not a popcorn, to microwave…

Let us pray… God, we want to come before your throne of grace one more time… above all things that goes around us, here we are Lord, on our knees, surrendering all… seeking your face in desperation…

We are hungry, Lord.. and We are in thirst for you, Lord – we want to be around you, know you and cherish your everlasting Presence…  Lord, we give access to the deeper part of our lives – with such adoration.

Bless us, Lord… enlarge our territory, and Be the Lord of our life!  Amen and Amen!

Let’s get real with our prayers before the Lord, Today!
