Dear Saints of the Living God – Blessing to you and your family!
When the children of Israel was moving out of Egypt, the Lord was providing them with freshly baked Manna and Quail – from heaven which fed them for 40 years in the wilderness. And do you know how those provisions operated, if their tent had 4 people in it, and then the provision was for 4. If their tent had 10 people, then the provision was for 10… the size of the provision is not limited by the size of the provider, but the size of their tent.
I am not sure how big your tent is, remember, the source of where the help comes from has no scarcity in the provision…. it all depends on how big your mission is, in this life. It depends on who you would like to have in your tent. It depends on how big you want your tent to be enlarged. This morning, i pray for you and me to enlarge the tent…
When God prospers you, it is according to the size of your assignment. As you read in Phillippians 4:19, Paul writes, “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
The God of this universe is on our side, as we dig ditches for the seeding, the rain will pour, the walls will fall, the flowing water will stop, the winds will listen, the sun will stop, the enemies will flee, the ravens will feed, the brook will show up next to you, the bitterness in water will turn to sweet. He is not a God of nobody – but instead, He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob… What He opens, no one will be able to shut.
Today morning, let us meditate on how God prepares us for the different seasons in our life…
There is a period in the life of the Children of Israel, when they were about to enter the promised land, and the bible says, the manna ceased…
The children of Israel were feeding off of Pharaoh for 400 years… they were eating onion and garlic (food of depression), then the Lord feeds them with manna and quail (fresh from the heaven-lies) for 40 years – but then as they enter the promised land, the Lord stopped their provision – and we wonder why?
Let us turn to the pages of Deuteronomy 11: 10 – 11, the Lord says,
“The land you are entering to take over is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you planted your seed and irrigated it by foot as in a vegetable garden. 11 But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven.”
As I was reading this passage, it reminded me of yesterday, as we were walking through the trail, i realized how the trail goes up and down constantly, the same way – the Lord didn’t promise us a straight road. The children of Israel, after they traveled in the desert for 40 years (on the leveled plain), the Lord knows, that they are ready for the land where it contains mountains and valley.
You might say, Brother – i am constantly under attack, whatever i touch, doesn’t prosper, I completely understand and I don’t want to belittle what you are going through but let me pray for you and ask the Lord to encourage you with the words below…
When the enemy attacks the works of your hand that means you are worth attacking… it is a sign that you are high valued target. God has a plan for you and remember that you are much closer to the harvest. This enemy is nothing but the Lord of the flies (that what his name means)… he is a bug waiting to be crushed, so don’t be distracted by his cheap tricks… he uses the same play book again and again… if you have overcome them once… you will overcome them again! Bind this enemy in the name and blood of Jesus; resist him – and he will flee from you. There is a fruit in the valley that feeds off of the rain from heaven.
You might ask, does it have precedence in the word of the Lord, absolutely! When we look at 1 Kings 17, we read about Prophet Elijah, who was under attack and it was an experience in the valley after demonstrating the powerful hand of the Lord to the King; right in the middle of the mountain top experience, the enemy attacks the man of God, but in the midst of all the chaos, the Lord says, I got you in the palm of my hands, and I am going to send you the ravens to feed – with different menu items in the morning and in the evening. I am going to show the water brook for your thirst and I will give you the much needed rest.
What am i saying – We are serving the God – who supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory – and the schemes of the enemies will no effect on the children of God – this valley that you are in, will pass. Why? Because the bible says, the gates of hell cannot prevail over the children of God.
I don’t know whether you are in a mountain top experience, filled with blessings and prosperity or going through the valley where all the resources being cut off from your life, but the promise that we have in this verse is simple and straight; the experience that you and i go through feeds off the same source – “the rain” from heaven.
Let me close with this next verse from the same chapter in (Deuteronomy 11) – it is beautiful promise…
“It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end.”
The Lord is saying to you and me this morning that He cares about you… not only that, His eyes are continually looking over the every facet of our life, from the beginning of the year till the end of the year.
There are unexplainable things that have happened in the Proverbs226 ministry continually, the last 2 years and I believe the same for the years to come. He not only gave us the fresh vision for the children of the incarcerated, but also He sends His provisions. The leaders that are close to me knows, that the Lord has always blessed us, no matter how big the task is.
I don’t know what you are going through but the Lord says in Revelation 3:11, “Behold, I am coming quickly!” – I really like the exclamation at the end of the sentence in NKJ version… God knows the urgency of the time that we are in… Right now, I am saying with all boldness, that He is coming soon as the Redeemer, as the King of kings and the Lord of lords in your life and mine.
All we need to do is, “be Still” and know that He is the Lord! He is sitting at the right hand of the father, and He is going to come down with Power and Majesty…
He is preparing you and me for what is going to come, which has no precedence! Enlarge your tent, and ask the Lord to fill them with His presence. He will never, ever say – No, when we invite His presence with our hearts filled with gratitude.
