Scatter “it” toward the heavens

Dear Saints of the Living God… Grace and Mercy to you and your family!   It is a beautiful day…  King David must be looking forward to the mornings… where he would go into the presence of the Lord to Praise and Glorify Him… and there are so many of his psalms are examples of those…

Psalms 68 goes like this…

“Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name YAH, And rejoice before Him”

This morning, as we come before His throne of Grace, let us put on the cloth of rejoice in our hearts and praises in our mouth… there are so many reasons to praise Him… His is worthy to be praised…

I love this song as it portrays how the heaven looks like…

What an mighty God we serve…

Angels bow before Him,

Heaven and Earth adore Him, what a mighty God we server!

He is Jehovah Jireh… He is Jehovah Shalom, He is Jehovah Shammah, El Shaddai, His name is above all names… He is the beginning and the end… He is worthy of all our praise…

Last week, I was speaking to the Christian Business men network, and there is a good brother of mine in Christ, when he prayed – said, “God, You – who knew no sin, became sin. “ it is not a new thought but somehow it got stuck in my head… and I cannot get out of thinking, how he became the sin for you and me on that cross.   We cannot give anymore glory to the enemy – because the Lord God of Israel melted away all the schemes of enemy on that Cross… the enemy has no power, and his days are numbered… he is waiting for the bottomless pit.   Amazing! All because what the Lord did for us on that rugged cross. He wrote the end … the script is complete.   The next time, when the enemy tries come after you, or your family or your business, tell him – “you know the end is near”… “you know my Lord has risen” … you know and you know, the death has no sting left…

____________

With that said, let us jump into the meditation…

Exodus 9:8 says, “So the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Take for yourselves handfuls of ashes from a furnace, and let Moses scatter it toward the heavens ….”

The background of this verse is, Pharaoh is not letting the children go, and not only that, he is tightening the grip towards the God’s children … The Lord is telling Moses and Aaron, go to the furnace, where everything is burnt and brought into ashes… How do we get ashes?   When things are thrown into fire…

The thing is, as you throw different items into fire, each of them could have different colors – just as we all have different attributes that portray our personalities, but as they are burned in the furnace, what’s left in the end is, one single color… In this life, the experience that we go through – especially during the hardships, either financially, or with relationship being strained with the family or illness such as cancer – will take us all to the state of humbleness, at that time, we don’t have different color, but like ashes, we are ready to listen.

What the Lord is saying to us today is, take what is burned up in your life… take the situation that has brought you this state of humbleness, and scatter them towards heaven…   over the weekend, I had a chance to meet with one of the fathers in Lanesboro correctional, came to me and as he was thanking the ministry said, he wants to right a book about “how to be a good father, even when serving time in prison”…  I am was amazed by this man’s thought process – he has been brought to the state of humbleness, where he is ready to throw his ashes towards the heaven.

The Lord is not looking for anything fancy to make things happen in our life – he is willing to take whatever is left over in our hands, even if that is burned up and as useless as ashes – and when we throw them towards heaven, He will use them to turn that into a blessing… He will take that and turn them to scorch the enemy.

What do you have today in your hands?   No matter, what it is, go ahead and scatter them towards heaven and see what happens. He is the God who can take whatever we have in our hands and turn them into something beautiful. Is your marriage in the rocks, no problem, scatter them towards heaven… He will bring the peace that transcends all understanding into your marriage. Is the thought of tomorrow causing you to fear, scatter them towards heaven, He will make a perfect life out of it.   Is the debt that you have is causing you to not sleep in the nights – you see that is not new… In 2 Kings, chapter 4, a widow comes to the man of God, and cries over her debt, listen what the ask is, to turn her situation, “What do you have in your house?”

Sometimes all we have left is an empty jar – that’s all the Lord needs to take us out of the situation.

Sometimes, all it would take is, to surrender ourselves to the Lord in obedience…

Sometimes all we are left with is, the step of faith..

I am not sure what the ashes that you are holding now, scatter them towards heaven… The Lord can take whatever that is left in us, to bring the lasting change into our life.

What do you have today in your hands?   Pile of ashes?   You know what to do with them…

May the good Lord bless you!
