Strengthen “the things” which remain..

Dear Saints of the Living God – Grace and Mercy to you and your family!

There are days, that you are on a mountain top and saying to God – wonderful, and Praise the Lord… and there are other days, where you are in the valley and things don’t seems to go the way,  you intended…  it is quite normal…

This morning, I was looking at my book, “Dancing in the rain”… and it was a perfect remainder for me, because in this world, we will have storms and rain, the things are going to get tough, but we cannot give up…

in Revelation 3, The Lord writes to the church in Sardis, “Strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die”…

When we started our journey, as a fresh Christian – we were not matured in our mind set, we often fell down and the Lord has to come to our rescue… in the midst of all the things that were happening to us, we were seeking the Lord with all our heart, and all our soul, that is our strength.   But as we grow older and older, we lost the sight of things that strengthened us… the zeal that we had – when we gave our life for Christ, the jokes and free-spirit that magnetized the people around us, the Joy in serving… and the list goes on and on…

What happened?  the worries of this world, or the betrayal and the heart-burns over the period in our lives tend keep us from the things that energized us every day… we get caught in the circle of life, and we take matters in our own hands, and we probably shortened the vision that the Lord gave it to us, to something that we can accomplish… probably we had some kind of a strategist, came up with a business plan, and gave a 5 year plan and the expansion theory… the other day, I was reminded of the lines from the book, “Sun stand still”,  written by Pastor Steven Furdick,

“If the size of your vision for your life isn’t intimidating to you, there’s a good chance it’s insulting to God.”…

Boost up your energy today – through prayer and our reliance on the Lord… that’s where our strength is, and in Revelation, the Lord is saying – whatever is left in you, strengthen those things, which still remains…

Let me close with this thought, Regain “your” strength in the Lord… as 2 Chronicle 16:9 says, “For the eyes of the Lord move over all the earth so that He may give strength to those whose whole heart is given to Him”

God is searching for us, as we draw near Him, He draws near to us – that’s our strength… May the good Lord find you, as His eyes are searching for the one, whose heart is fully given to Him.   We may not have much time, but we will give what we have – fish and the bread, let Him multiply…

Praise the Lord!
