The unraveling requires us to give the control back to the Lord… (Part 2)

Dear Saints of the Living God – Grace and Mercy to you and your family…

The bible says in the book of Proverbs, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”;  I am not sure what you are going through in your life,  the enemy could be causing grief, but as we take refuge under His name, which are nothing but His attributes, His Love, His Mercy, His Power and His Knowledge – against which the gates of hell cannot prevail.   He is our El-Shaddai – God Almighty,  He is our El Elyon – Most High God… He never sleeps nor slumbers… He cares for you and me – that He sent His only begotten son, to die on the cross, while we were still sinners… Amazing!

I am praying and encouraging this morning to find your safe haven in His secret place.

I was so blessed to see the actual checks being sent to the colleges for our children that are going to college,  this fall.  These children are very precious, and if you can spend few min in your prayer time to remember them, will be awesome; let us pray that they will have no distraction that takes away their focus from their school… their children’s children will be blessed… and the gates of hell cannot prevail against them.

______
as we are exploring the unraveling of our past, to get things right with the Lord…   We need to trust Him to bring the restoration.  Ofcourse, It starts with PUSH (Pray Until Something Happens), desperate prayer.

There is another place, where the people of Nineveh goes to the Lord not only in their desperation, but also with the sincere heart.  We cannot fake our heart before the Lord, we are like an open book before Him.   In the book of Jonah, chapter 3, when the prophet comes in to town and says, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” – we see the people of Nineveh, believed in the Lord, including their King, who put on the sack cloth and sat on the ashes.

This whole thing is amazing to me, why – because the people of Nineveh are known for their brutal treatment of their enemies, the book of Nahum talks about it.   These are Assyrians, who were notorious for amputating hands and feet, gouging eyes, and skinning and impaling their captives. God calls this place, city of blood.   If God can restore the city of Nineveh, He will restore you and me to the fullest.   The unraveling of our life begins with us giving the control back to Him.

In India, we used to see lot of tracks being distributed in street corners – and in one of those tracks I have seen this story… and I am sure you might have heard about it too.   It is a story about the guy who fell off a cliff and on his way down he was able to grab onto a tree branch jutting out from the face of the rock.

As he hung there reviewing his options, he started yelling, “Is anyone up there?”

He was surprised to hear a voice say to him, “Yes, this is God.” The man was greatly relieved, and quickly stuttered, “God, can you save me?” “Of course I can, responded God.”

The man was really happy now and shouted out, “Great! What should I do?” The answer from the Almighty was not what he was expecting: “Let go of the branch.”

After a long period of silence, the man replied faintly, “Is there anyone else up there?”
___________
We’re like that man sometimes, don’t  you agree? We want God to help us to untangle our knots,  but we don’t always want to do what He says. Specifically, we’re not always interested in letting go of those things that we think are holding us up.

It’s tough to release our grip and give control of our lives to God. We kind of know that God will provide but maybe we’re not really sure He’ll come through for us. And so we hold on, and wonder if there is someone else who can help us.

Bible says, “God saw their works” ,  God saw what the people of Nineveh did.   They trusted in the Lord to unravel their past mistakes.   We are like an open book before Him.  Today morning, I am encouraging you and me to dig deeper in to our hearts, to search for areas that is not pleasing before Him – and let us allow the Lord to do the open heart surgery and take away all the unwanted thoughts and actions out of our lives.   We need deep cleaning… let the Lord who knows how to unravel, take control of our lives.

As we close, it reminds me of this beautiful song by Chris Tomlin, that talks about unchanging !

Portion of the song goes like this…

Great is Your faithfulness
Great is Your faithfulness
You never change
You never fail, O God

True are Your promises
True are Your promises
You never change
You never fail, O God

The God who never change and never fails is our fortress… as we give control back to Him… He will restore the years the locust has chewed from our life… He restore in to our lives, what is rightfully ours.   There are times, we don’t inherit the blessing because of unfinished business in our life… that needs supernatural intervention.   Great is His faithfulness…

May the Good Lord Bless you!
