“You” may serve the Lord without distraction

Dear Saints of the Living God – Grace and Mercy to you and your family…

1 Corinthians 7:35, And this I say for your own profit, not that I may put a leash on you, but for what is proper, and that you may serve the Lord without distraction.”

We hear signs the miracles, mighty works of the Lord and other times, the storms of fear and disaster… if we read the word, it is written, that we will go through these mixed emotions and we shouldn’t be alarmed by any.   The enemy would like keep us in the distracted mode…  Last year, someone came and told me that the world is coming to end in September 2015 and that this person wants to save people and spread the message, that’s why she had to leave Proverbs226.   Distractions – that’s what the enemy does.

God has the ultimate plan, and we shouldn’t get distracted… we need to keep our eyes on our Savior and keep moving.  Sometimes, even the miracles can be a distraction, and we tend glorify the miracle than the miracle-worker.

When the storms of this life comes like a wave, we need to have assurance, that the one sitting on the Throne, above all the thrones is still in control…

here is what happened this last week, the enemy was in full effect, as we were getting ready to go to Lee/Kershaw… the warden gets sick, and starts to throw up; a man hangs himself inside the prison… things starts to get intensified –  and I am truly humbled by the audaciousness of faith by the leaders as they got on their knees crying out to the Lord – and volunteers walking into the prison with an expectation of the birthing of a new skin.    Totally un-distracted…

I am telling you, that’s what pisses the enemy.

as the kids came into the prison on Saturday, not only they had an amazing time with their fathers, but in the process, some of the kids gave their life to Christ and 2 of them got baptized with their father witnessing…  isn’t that amazing, Heavens rejoice, in their welcoming party, as the individuals trust the Lord with their soul…

There are times, life happens, it doesn’t have to be a major issue, but small things that goes on in our lives can start to distract us – like paying bills, arguments with the spouse, or the busyness and the ambitions to do something… we need to make Him the focus and see how these things doesn’t matter in the big picture… All I can sing is, He is got the whole world, in His Hands… He is got the whole world…

When you get a chance, I want you to read Luke 14:15-24,  it talks about a parable, an invitation to a Royal Dinner… but you know what, everyone gives excuses, after excuses – one guy says, he bought a piece of land and the other one says,  he bought oxen and the list goes on and on… even the children of Israel, when they were asked why they didn’t want to go to the promised land, they say, Susie – the cow, and the Tammy- the goat have green pastures in the desert – distractions,  distractions…

I don’t know what your distractions are (at the present time) – make some time to quiet yourself, and ask the Lord to clarify what He wants to do in your life.   If there is any distraction, that takes you from where you need to go – ask the Lord to remove them from east to the west… and from north to the south…   My wish and prayer for you is that, you will enjoy the presence of the Lord and His purposes…

As the word says, “Serve the Lord without any distractions!”

Praise the Lord for the amazing week, that is starting!  Blessings to you and your family!
